Sarah Viehbeck

Sarah Viehbeck is the Head of Performance Measurement and the Manager of Results and Impact at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. Prior to assuming this role, Sarah served in the CIHR Evaluation Unit and as the Assistant Director for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research-Institute of Population and Public Health.  Sarah has provided team leadership for several major CIHR and Tri-Council evaluations and also managed the CIHR International Peer Review Expert Panel. Over her 6 years with the Institute of Population and Public Health, Sarah offered leadership for strategic activities related to performance measurement and evaluation, population and public health ethics, knowledge translation, international partnerships, and the Pathways to Health Equity for Aboriginal Peoples Signature Initiative. Sarah is a member of the Canadian Evaluation Society and graduate of the International School on Research Impact Assessment. Through her role as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Waterloo’s School of Public Health and Health Systems and the University of Ottawa’s Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences, Sarah maintains a modest research program and is engaged in teaching.
